Guillaume Zuili exhibition from June 28 to July 27, 2019 at the Clémentine de la Féronnière gallery
Public opening on Thursday, June 27 (6pm-9pm)
Since his last exhibition at the gallery in 2017, Guillaume Zuili has offered us a fascinating production in two different countries. Guillaume works in Los Angeles where he lives. He continues “Urban Jungle” which was initiated with Camera Clara Award. Another series, “Harbor City” was just shown at MAP Festival in Toulouse.
On this side of the Atlantic, Guillaume surprised us with a body of work on Le Perche. He spent 3 months last fall invited in an Artist Residency by Le Champ des Impossibles. Far from the Los Angeles’s Asphalt he created an imagery close to the Far West. Influenced by California light and above all by classical movies. Guillaume Zuili uses different cameras, from large format to miniatures cameras like the Pen. He works in the darkroom, plays with vintage papers and uses the Lith technique to bring unique tones and deep blacks.
